1, 4-Dichlorobenzene is made of are
made of naphthalene and par dichlorobenzene, but used to be made out of camphor (What Are Moth Balls Made Of ,n.d.). The naphthalene molecule is extracted from tar streams that came from refineries and steel production. Naphthalene is later then purified by crystallization (Naphthalene Extraction, n.d.). After this is done it is packaged as items like moth balls using double sealed plastic bag and has to be kept under 53.5 degrees in order for the compound to not melt(Moth Balls, n.d.).
